Boyd Barrett takes on the role as the ranking commanding officer of Continuum Base, General Killian O’Shaunessy, a gritty, tough Texan.
Boyd Barrett has decades of experience on stage, including productions in high school and college, traveling nationwide during the 1970s as part of the theatre troupe His Players, and hundreds of performances of his one-man shows throughout the Southwest, most notably his Trouble in Lincoln County.
Boyd has most recently been seen on stage in Roswell, NM. His last three roles with the Roswell Community Little Theatre were Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof in 2012, King Henry II in The Lion in Winter in 2015, and Daddy Warbucks in Annie in 2016. He was the Bishop plus one performance as Javert in Way Way Off Broadway’s production of Les Miserables in 2015 and portrayed King Triton in ENMU-Roswell’s The Little Mermaid in 2016.
In 2017 he again worked with Way Way Off Broadway as the Narrator/Mysterious Man in Into the Woods and Arvide Abernathy in Guys and Dolls. Boyd is also an active part of Roswell’s film community. The Roswell Sci-Fi Digital Shootout awarded him Best Actor in 2011 for his work in the short film Reset and Best Screenplay in 2013 for Tailed. In 2018 he co-wrote and co-starred in the short film Silo. He produced an audio drama called Roswell B.C. – Before the Crash, and is creating Come and See, an immersive surround sound audio treatment of the life of Jesus. Boyd is a real estate appraiser. He and his wife, Kathy, have two children and seven grandchildren.
